Jim Driskell, PHD
Jim Driskell is senior scientist at Florida Maxima Corporation and has
over 25 years’ experience in behavioral science R&D, serving in the academic, government, and private sectors. He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, Fellow of the Division of Military Psychology, and has served on the editorial board, Human Factors, contributing editor, Journal of Applied Psychology, and consulting editor, American Psychologist.
Dr. Driskell has served as Principal Investigator on multiple research projects including research for the US Army Research Institute, Air Force Research Laboratory, the National Science Foundation, the National Academy of Sciences, Office of Naval Research, NASA, FAA, Federal Bureau of Investigation, National Institutes of Health, Department of Homeland Security, Defense Intelligence Agency, and other organizations.
His primary research interests are in the areas of group processes and team performance, team training, and human performance under stress. He has authored over 100 articles and papers, including recent publications in the American Psychologist, Journal of Applied Psychology, Human Factors, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Military Psychology, Small Group Research, Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, and Group Dynamics.
